This business came about as the result of my volunteering to help a student from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, UAH. It was the mid 1980’s, his name Jeff Lindner. We worked on several projects setting world records with our materials and engineering. Jeff graduates and goes to work for NASA as an engineer.

He came to me with a golf invention to see if it was patentable and marketable. I agreed that it was. We started the company in 1999. He concentrated on designing and testing the product. I would concentrate on developing a process for the prospective golfers to see the benefits of the product for their game in the most convincing and shortest time possible.

Our preliminary market studies showed that several small golf technology companies were being bought by the major companies, Callaway, Nike, Taylor Made and Ping for example. Also some small companies were gaining traction and growing on their own in the putting sector. So we decided to build a technology business to sell to a larger company. To accomplish this our product wouldn’t compete against the other equipment companies. Instead we would make a product that would make all golf clubs better. This increased our potential market share and reduced competition. We sold game improvement backed by science and engineering. This tactic was especially helpful when we decided to showcase our technology at the highest level, the professional golfer. So we put a plan together to obtain investment and partners to help us do several things to achieve this. We needed money first to implement our plan. We did the “Shark Tank” thing and got the investors. The plan required us to get in front of as many Golf equipment companies as possible, gain professional golfers endorsements, meet club makers and designers, and golf course owners. That meant going the world’s largest golf event, The PGA Golf show in Orlando, Fl. We raised the funds and went. The rest is history.

I spent 8 years on the tour working with 200+ pros on the PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tour. We have sold in over a dozen countries and expanded our products to all clubs and licensed some products as well. I got to work with my son, grandfather and friend, and build clubs with Arnold Palmer.
